The invention relates to remote control of the operation of drive amplifiers in digital systems. A control device incorporated into an integrated drive amplifier comprises fault detection circuits 17, 18, 19, 20 intended to produce a fault signal in the presence of conditions such as an excessive temperature, an overcurrent, an open or short circuit in the load. The input of the drive amplifier 14 is connected to the output of a D-type flip-flop 13 having one data input D and a control input C connected to a digital control system. A circuit 22, 23 is connected between the data input and a logic ZERO potential in order to connect the data input to this potential when a fault signal is present, in the interval between control signals.
