PURPOSE:To enable the state of the internal area of the cell to be inspected from outside the tank by forming hand holes in reaction gas supply and exhaust manifolds which face hand holes formed in the side wall of the tank. CONSTITUTION:Four reaction-gas supply or exhaust manifolds 2 are attached to the four side surfaces of a quadrangular-pole-like cell stack 1. Each of these four manifolds 2 is provided with a hand hole 14 in such a position as to enable the cell stack 1 to be seen by an inspection reflecting mirror or a fiber scope. Besides, a tank 7 is provided with hand holes 14 facing scope. Besides, a tank 7 is provided with hand holes 14 facing the hand holes 15. The size of the hand holes 15 is slightly smaller than that of the hand holes 14 so that the holes 15 can be opened or closed through the holes 14 from outside the tank 7. Because of the above structure, if any trouble occurs in the fuel cell, the internal areas of the manifolds 2 can be seen from outside the tank 7 and the trouble can be confirmed in a short time. |
