<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the scattering of a microorganism having harmful possibility, by washing exhaust gas containing an org. substance with microorganism- containing washing water and thereafter sterilizing the microorganism scattered in the exhaust gas by a sterilization apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas containing an org. substance receiving oxidative decomposition by a microorganism such as phenol or isopropyl alcohol is sent to a gas-liquid contact part 2 and brought into contact with washing water containing a microorganism recirculated from a washing water tank 3. The org. substance in exhaust gas is removed in recirculated washing water and receives oxidative decomposition by the microorganism. Washed exhaust gas passes through a gas-liquid separation part 6 and is irradiated with ultraviolet rays from an ultraviolet lamp 7 to sterilize the microorganism such as bacterial therein and exhausted to the open air as clean gas from a treated exhaust gas outlet 8. By this method, the scattering of an unknown microorganism to the open air can be prevented even if a special microorganism is propagated in washing water.</p> |
