The invention relates to a motor housing which consists of two parts, preferably for a submerged pump. In order to be able to produce the housing as cheaply and simply as possible, with all the required properties such as corrosion resistance with respect to the fluid being conveyed, good conductivity, low weight and mechanical strength, the invention provides that only the one of the two housing parts consists of a corrosion-resistant material, while the other is produced from a different material and is at the same time completely covered by a cap, which closes it in a sealed manner and consists of a third material. In consequence, this second part does not need to have all the required properties such as thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, and can thus be produced cheaply.
