PURPOSE:To concentrate the maximum contrast directional axis of a liquid-crystal panel on the space in front of the liquid crystal panel by varying a driving voltage along the Y-axial direction of the liquid-crystal panel surface. CONSTITUTION:Fixed resistances R1, R2...R6 are interposed between an Y driver 3 and the liquid-crystal panel so that a voltage gradient which increases along the Y-axial direction in the order of rows of respective electrodes is generated. A variable resistor which varies the voltage impressed to the whole is only interposed so as to vary the maximum contrast directional axis according to a shift in the eye position of a user. The maximum contrast axis is concentrated on the position of the observer's eyes at every position on the panel, so the entire surface of the liquid-crystal panel is observed with maximum contrast. |
