PURPOSE:To shorten waiting time in manual insertion copying and to enable manually inserted copied papers to be ejected to a desired ejection position of a sorter by temporarily stopping manually inserted copying papers till movement of the ejection position of copying papers have been finished, and executing an operation for forming an image on the copying paper after the movement has been finished. CONSTITUTION:When the manual insertion copying is started, the copying machine actuates a manual paper feed roller 24 and intermediate roller 30, the copying papers are conveyed to a position in front of a timing roller 31, and they are stopped temporarily. When they are stopped, a bin is moved to a prescribed position, and the signal that the bin is being moved now and copying is inhibited is sent from a sorter 400. When this signal is reset, image forming operation is started. Then, an optical scanning system 10 is moved, and a register switch SE1 is turned on at the timing that the end of an image formed on a photosensitive drum 1 and the end of the paper are to coincide with each other at the position of an electrostatic transfer charger. The intermediate roller 30 and a timing roller 31 are actuated to restart the copying papers and to transfer images. |
