PURPOSE:To stack invariably forms in page order corresponding to the stack characteristic of a recording part by performing selection control as to whether image information is read in page increasing order from the top page or in decreasing order from the bottom page on the basis of stack characteristic information which indicates whether a recording device stacks recording output paper with the top up or down. CONSTITUTION:A control part 7 retrieves the on state of a switch 8 and judges that the stack characteristics of the recording part 5 of the facsimile device is top up stack characteristics when the switch is on, thereby performing readout control so that image information on plural pages which is stored in memory 6 is read in the page decreasing order form the last page. When the switch 8 is off, bottom up stack characteristics are judged and readout control is so performed that the image information stored in the memory 6 is read in the increasing order from the head page.
