An optical fiber cable is coated with a transparent resin layer to detect light leakage. A lens layer(10) corrects sun light and focusses it at the center of the optical fiber. If some optical fiber is damaged, the leaked light is reflected towards to the end- plate(50b) through the transparent resin layer so that the damage of the optical fiber can be detected simply. When the optical fiber is arranged in the same way at both side of the cable, the leaked part can be determined easiy by comparing the brightness of the cable's end-plate(50b).
