PURPOSE:To improve reliability by surrounding plate group with an outer sheath consisting of thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet or film and housing a unit storage battery partly provided with a safety valve within an outer case made of synthetic resin having rigidity. CONSTITUTION:A hermetically sealed unit storage battery is formed by surrounding a plate group 6 formed by a positive plate 3, a negative plate 4 and a separator 5 with an outer sheath made of thermoplastic synthetic resin film or sheet, forming the sealed portion 8a through thermal melting of aperture of the film or sheet around the plate group and by providing a sefety valve 8b to a part thereof. The one or a plurality of such hermetically sealed unit storage battery are housed within an outer case 9 made of synthetic resin having the rigidity under the pressured condition. |
