PURPOSE:To prohibit drawing out of a film magazine while a cap is held open by providing an automatic locking mechanism which locks the film magazine in such a way that the magazine cannot be detached from the inside of a snapshot device while the magazine is held loaded therein and when the cap thereof is opened. CONSTITUTION:A lever 3c is still in a halt state and a magazine 2 is not locked as there is space (s) between the lever and a stopper 2f in the state just before loading of a magazine 2 into a housing 1. When the magazine 2 is fully loaded into the housing 1 from this state, the tip of the pin 2g contacts the other end of the lever 3c and the lever 3c turns counterclockwise to eliminate the space (s). If, therefore, a cap plate 2b is opened by drawing a shaft 2c from this state, a stopper 2f engages with one end of the lever 3c to the state that the magazine 2 cannot be detached even if the user tries to pull the same from the inside of the housing 1 by pulling a handle 2e, i.e., the locked state.
