PURPOSE:To start the photographing operation of a camera by voice input and perform secure operation without depending upon the sensation of hands by receiving the 1st output and generating a photography ready/unready decision output, and generating a photography start signal only when the 2nd output is received from a speech recognizing device. CONSTITUTION:When the 1st voice input is supplied to the speech recognizing device 1, an output Q1 becomes HL to turn on a transistor (TR) 12 and a TR9 is also turned on as a result to allow the 1st camera circuit 17, a latch circuit 34, etc., to start operating. When outputs of the 1st camera circuit 17 all become HL, an AND gate 24 enters a stand-by state. Then when the 2nd voice input is supplied to the speech recognizing device 1, an output Q2 becomes HL and an AND gate 24 is opened; and a TR28 is turned on and a TR25 is also turned on to bias the 2nd camera circuit 33, which then starts operating. When the photographing operation of the camera is completed and the 2nd camera circuit 33 generates a photography end signal, the outputs Q1 and Q2 become LL.
