Control arrangement for a drive unit, which consists of a primary energy source, preferably an internal combustion engine 1, and a hydrostatic pump 3 and a consumer 11, 12 of hydrostatic energy and in which a directional control valve 7 restricting the flow in intermediate positions is connected between the pump 3 and the consumer 11, 12, and the pressure in front of this directional control valve acts on one control-pressure space and the pressure behind this directional control valve acts on the second, spring-side control-pressure space of a valve 24, which is controlled dependently of control pressure and to whose inlet a source 19 of control pressure medium is connected and to whose outlet a servo cylinder 17 is connected, in which a servo piston 16 can be displaced against the force of a spring 18, the servo piston 16 being connected to the adjusting member of the primary energy source 1. The rotary speed of the primary energy source 1 is thereby always set in such a way that the pressure gradient at the valve 7 maintains a predetermined value. <IMAGE>
