Metal section for reinforcing plastics hollow sections, having at least one stiffening bead formed in at least one of its longitudinal walls, oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis of the section protruding in the direction of the interior of the hollow metal section and being open to the outside thereof and having a length which is at least substantially equal to the length of the hollow metal section, characterized in that the stiffening bead (9; 10) as measured from the outside has a depth of at least four times, especially at least six times the thickness of the sheet metal gage of the section, and in that said section is made to such a dimension that it contacts the hollow plastics section when mounted in said hollow plastics section under spring elastic deformation of said stiffening bead. |
