The invention relates to a mounting for sensors for monitoring and controlling the sterilisation of open solutions in wide-necked vessels. When sterilising open solutions it is necessary, for monitoring and controlling the sterilisation process, to fit a vessel with a sensor which serves to determine the current sterilisation conditions. To this end, an accurately predefined position of the sensor relative to the wide-necked vessel, and in particular in the central axis thereof, has to be reliably maintained during the entire sterilisation process. According to the invention, accurate mounting of the sensor is achieved by the mounting having at least three supports which project radially outward from a centre of a central part and which can be laid onto the vessel opening rim, and by at least one slidable end stop being mounted on each support, and by the mounting having a continuous cut-out, which is disposed coaxial to the centre and is adjustable, by means of the end stops, coaxially with respect to the central axis of the vessel, within which continuous cut-out the elongated sensor can be moved and retained. <IMAGE>
