PURPOSE:To improve the operating reliability of a video disk by recording the capacity of a command recorded to the disk to a part of the record information on the disk, therefore deciding the possibility of reproduction of the disk. CONSTITUTION:The information recorded to a video disk 4 is reproduced in the form of an RF signal by a pickup 11. The RF signal is demodulated by an FM demodulating circuit 13 via a preamplifier 12 and also separated into video and sound signals to be supplied to a video signal processing circuit 14 and the 1st and 2nd channel sound signal demodulating circuits 161a and 161b respectively. The output signal of the circuit 161b is supplied to a computer 3 via an interface 2. Then the capacity of a command recorded to a part of the record information on the disk 4 is compared with the storage enable capacity of a memory 31 by a comparator 32. Then a signal is outputted after deciding whether the disk 4 can be reproduced or not. |
