The package has a wrapping (1) with four flaps (2, 3, 4, 5) folded onto the underside of the package. The underside bears a large-area label (13) which is glued to the wrapping (1) at a plurality of gluing points (25, 26, 27). The package is opened by a strip (17) being pulled off along two perforation lines (19, 20) a folding flap (2) being torn open at the same time. The package fulfils the conditions of a tamper-proof or safety closure and cannot be opened and closed again without this being noticed. The package is particularly suitable for packaging bars of chocolate. <IMAGE>
