In order to chamfer right-angled edges on workpieces of stone, e.g. stone slabs or the like, an angle grinder having a motor, a driven shaft and a diamond grinding wheel seated on said shaft is provided. The driven shaft of said angle grinder is detachably held by a housing having guide tracks which are located at right angles to one another and slide on the workpiece, the edges of which track which are directed towards one another forming a gap defining the chamfer. The angle-grinder driven shaft, arranged beneath the median line of the guide tracks, is arranged offset with respect to the gap in such a way that the grinding wheel rotates in an eccentric manner immediately above the gap.
