Method for fabricating a superconducting contact

In the case of superconducting connectors it is necessary to provide, for the purpose of connecting ends of conductors, superconducting contacts which retain their superconducting properties even at high magnetic fields. A simple method of preparing these contact sites in such a way that they form, together with the conductor, a superconducting layer upon a final heat treatment below 800 DEG C consists in a powder mixture (5) being placed inside a sealed and compressed sheath (4) and being subjected inside the sheath (4) to a heat treatment in order to form the superconductive material. <IMAGE>
