The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with a solid rubber tyre which is detachably fastened to the rim body. In order to obtain a large degree of dynamic softness and a fixed anchoring of the solid tyre, and at the same time to be able still to achieve a good means of fitting and removal, the seating face of the rim body is arranged at both edges on a comparatively smaller diameter, the reinforcement inlays of the solid tyre being arranged predominantly in the edge region, which is reduced in diameter, of the rim body. Here, the reinforcement inlays are only arranged in the edge region of the tyre and, in addition, the tyre body has there an approximately flat rectangular peripheral projection or the rim body has a correspondingly shaped depression.
