Circuit arrangement and method for triggering an explosive charge

A circuit arrangement is specified for triggering an explosive charge (8) which is protected against inadvertent triggering by the use of a microprocessor (4). Further safety is provided by the use of an optical fibre (1) for the transmission of the signal, for triggering ÄsicÜ, and the interposition of a transducer which is activated only by the transmitted light. The microprocessor (4) additionally enables dialogue traffic with monitoring of the serviceability of all the components of the circuit arrangement. <IMAGE>
