The busbars (1; 2; 3), which are fitted with at least one contact piece, preferably a contact blade (4.1; 5.1), and the plugs (7; 8) which are preferably fitted with contact fingers (7.1; 8.1), are covered in an insulating manner in the operating region to prevent them being touched by fingers. The busbars are preferably covered by means of module elements (4; 5; 6) of identical width which, from busbar to busbar, can be arranged offset by in each case a third of the module size. The module element (4) is used for making contact with a plug (7) for high current intensities and the module element (5) is used for making contact with two plugs (8) of low current intensity. The contact blade covers (4.2; 5.2) are supported in the module elements (4; 5) such that they can be displaced laterally with respect to the busbar. <IMAGE>
