Appts. comprises a housing which supports against a feeder tube to receive drilling waste from the space between the drilling rod and the feeder type. In the housing is an outlet aperture which conducts the waste away to a connected conduit. The housing is displaceable axially along an extension of the drilling rod connected to a rotation mechanism of a drilling rig, and has a lock device which secures it in a prim. axial position on the rod extension. A seal is provided to function between the feeder tube and the housing when the latter supports against the former in a secondary axial position on the extension of the drilling rod. The equipment is also provided with a lifting loop permitting it to be raised to a secured position by a winch on the drilling rig. |
