PURPOSE:To shorten the full length of an engine room and increase dead weight for that amount by housing the whole of the bearings of a double inversion mechanism or a part of gears in the frame of a main engine. CONSTITUTION:A bearing 5 which supports a rotary shaft 4 is mounted in such a way that is is positioned inside the frame 15 of a main engine 1, and the rotary shaft 41 of a gear 31 meshed with the gear 16 of a propeller driving shaft 9, is provided in parallel with a crank shaft 14 and a driving shaft 2, and supported by a bearing 51 on the end part, in the frame 15. As a result, all of the bearing parts of a double inversion mechanism are mounted inside the frame 15, and the length required for mounting the bearings is completely included in the length of the frame 15, making the full length of the engine room shorter for that amount. |
