A spot-welding electrode includes a plurality of first and second coaxial and alternating sections, which first sections have a first transverse section of predetermined size. The second sections have a second transverse section of predetermined size which is smaller than the transverse section of the first sections. The outer sides of the second sections form lowered zones between the outer sides of the adjacent first sections. The outer sides of the second sections act as excision surfaces which eliminate the excess of material formed at the perimeter edges of the first adjacent sections, caused by the successive deformation of the first sections during repeated welding operations.
|
