PURPOSE:To prevent a V-belt without deteriorating the economy of fuel consumption, by compensating a reference line pressure determined in accordance with the operating condition of an engine, to a high line pressure when the change rate of gear ratio of a stepless speed change unit is large. CONSTITUTION:In a stepless speed change unit 4 in which the gear ratio is changed by adjusting the groove gaps of drive and driven pulleys having variable effective diameters, by means of hydraulic actuators, there are provided a line pressure regulating means A for regulating the line pressure fed to the hydraulic actuators, and a line pressure control means B for controlling the regulating means A to adjust the line pressure to a reference value set in accordance with the operating condition of the engine. Further, there are provided a gear shift control means (three-way solenoid selector valve) C for controlling the gear ratio of the speed change unit 4 and a change rate regularing means for regulating the change rate of gear shift of the speed change unit. Further, when the change rate of gear shift is large, a line pressure compensating means D compensates the above-mentioned reference value to a high value. |
