A glass insertion profile for a sealed glass element comprises a body part 7 and, connected to each of the edges of the latter, an edge part 8, 9 which essentially extend transversely to the body part 7, and locking parts 10, 11. The edge parts 8, 9 are adapted so as to bear against the side surfaces of the sealed glass element 3, the locking parts 10, 11 locking the profile securely to the frame 1. The glass insertion profile bears against the sealed glass element in such a manner that it seals better against it than previously known, without the mounting of the profile on the edge of the glass element being made more difficult in this way. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the locking part 10, which bears against the outer side of the frame, and the edge part 8 connected to the same edge of the body part as the locking part 10 together form a relatively rigid rocker arm which can be rotated around the edge region 17 of the edge part, the edge part 8 bearing against the glass pane 4 by means of a rocker arm effect when the profile is pushed against the rabbet 2 of the frame. <IMAGE> |
