PURPOSE:To improve anticorrosion property of the core by the sacrificial anodic effect of the alloy by a method wherein a fin member, made of aluminum alloy containing zinc of specified composition capable of restricting evaporation of zinc during vacuum brazing perfectly, is employed for the material of the core. CONSTITUTION:The aluminum alloy, consisting of Si: <=0.4%, Fe: 0.10-0.5%, Cu: <=0.20%, Mn: 0.7-1.5%, Zn: 0.8-1.2%, Li: 0.005-0.2%, Ca: 0.008-0.1%, balance: Al, is employed for the material of the core member. The fin member of brazing sheet, whose skin material is consisting of the wax of aluminum alloy of Al-Si series or Al-Si-Mg series, is combined with the operating fluid path member consisting of pure Al or the aluminum alloy of Al-Cu or Al-Mn series so that the surface area of the fin member is 2.5 times or more of the outer surface area of the operating fluid path member and the pitch of the fin member becomes 10mm. or less, and, thereafter, they are brazed under the ambient pressure of less than 10<-2>Torr. According to this method, the core of heat exchanger made of alumimum alloy having good anticorrosion property may be obtained. |
