PURPOSE:To provide the titled locking bolt having an excellent high-temp. characteristic by molding hydrostatically an aluminum alloy powder obtd. by a quick cooling and solidifying method then subjecting the powder molding to heating, extrusion molding and machining. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum alloy powder obtd. by a quick cooling and solidifying method at >=10<3> deg.C/sec cooling rate is hydrostatically molded and thereafter the molding is subjected to heating, extrusion molding and further to machining to form a locking bolt for component parts of an aluminum alloy engine. Such bolt has the structure composed of the fine and homogeneous crystal grains and deposit and has excellent high-temp. strength. Since the bolt is made of the aluminum alloy, the bolt has the coefft. of thermal expansion approximate to the coeff. of thermal expansion of the component parts of the aluminum alloy engine and obviates generation of permanent set in fatigue in the locked part of the bolt. An Al-Mn or Al-Fe alloy or the like is adequately usable for the aluminum alloy used for said bolt.
