Friction couplings, especially for motorized vehicles, with a coupling carrier disc which can be secured to the crankshaft of an engine, an axially movable pressure plate, a leaf spring provided between said plate and the coupling carrier disc and which is supported, via its radially outer zones, on the coupling carrier disc and which works on the pressure plate via zones which are radially located further inwards, in which, between this latter pressure plate and the coupling carrier disc, provision is made for elements for the transfer of the overturning (turning) moment, and with a pressure counterplate which, via spacer elements, may be held axially and firmly in rotation against the coupling carrier disc and with a coupling disc which must be located between the aforesaid disc and the pressure counterplate. The aim of the present invention was to make these frictional couplings smaller or, under given spatial conditions, to increase the diameter of the friction and thereby the work capacity of the coupling. This is achieved in accordance with the present invention in that the sprung elements, which are known per se, for the transfer of the overturning moment, are provided in that outer space of the coupling which faces towards the side of the engine.
|
