摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an equipping method which eliminates the need to pay attention to the influence of the reaction of an oscillation gyro by joining a piezoelectric bimorph element for driving and a piezoelectric bimorph element for detection together at 90 deg.. CONSTITUTION:The free terminal of the piezoelectric bimorph element 2 for driving and a base member 3 for supporting an oscillation part are supported and jointed with a metallic elastic member 6. The member 6 uses a thin pipe or rod type material with a high Young's modulus, e.g. bronze phosphate. Then when an AC signal (of resonance frequency) is applied between both surfaces of the element 2, the element 2 begins to oscillate and this oscillation operates at a speed (v) upon the piezoelectric bimorph element 1 jointed with the element 2 at 90 deg. through a joining member 5. The resonance frequency is considered as the both-end free flexural oscillation of one bimorph element, but its additional mass is decreased because of the presence of the element 1 and member 6. Then, the reaction of the oscillation is nearly eliminated by the member 6, so it is not transmitted to the member 3. Consecuently, the sensor is reduced in sized and the need to consider sensor fitting is eliminated.
