PURPOSE:To efficiently carry out the transfer of a granular material, by adjusting two valves disposed in a communication pipe when a granular material is transferred with the dead load thereof from an upper container to a lower container through the communication pipe to discharge accompanying gas from a gas discharge pipe between the valves. CONSTITUTION:A granular material is transferred from a cyclone 3 to an upper container 4 through an pneumatic power transfer pipe 1, and separated gas is discharged by way of a gas discharge pipe 2. When the granular material is transferred under the weight thereof from the upper container 4 to a lower container 9 through a communcation pipe 6, the feed amount of the granular material is adjusted by valves 5, 8 which are disposed in the communication pipe 6. For example, in the case of that the container 4 is in a high pressure condition and the container 9 is in a low pressure condition, the valve 5 is opened at an opening degree larger than that of the valve 8 so that the granular material is moved from the container 4 to the container 9 while accompanying gas is discharged from a gas discharge pipe 7, thereby the inflow of accompanying gas into the container 9 may be effectively reduced. |
