PURPOSE:To permit easy judgment of images and easy comparison of the two images by displaying the image on a CRT monitor in the form of the color image displayed by a change in the hue between two colors. CONSTITUTION:The electric signal from a high-frequency pulse transmitter 1 gated by a synchronizing signal generator 13 is made into an ultrasonic beam via a directional coupler 2 and a focusing ultrasonic oscillator 3 and is irradiated on a sample 5 fixed to a sample stage 6 disposed in approximate proximity to the focus of the focusing ultrasonic beam via a sound field liquid medium 4. The stage 6 is moved in directions X and Y by an X-Y scanner 7. The reflection wave reflected by the sample 5 is collected by the oscillator 3 by which the wave is converted to an electrical signal. The electrical signal is made into a detection signal by the coupler 2, an amplifier 8 and a detector 9. The detection signal is digitized by the conversion signal from the generator 13 and is stored 11. The digital value is processed by an arithmetic unit 12 and is converted to analog signals by three D/A converters 14 corresponding to red, green and blue electron guns of a color CRT15. The color image of the ultrasonic microscope is obtd. via the generator 13 on the CRT15. |
