PURPOSE:To aim at making smooth the method of separatng metal plates, etc. which are lamnated, during the step before a press work, by absorbing one end of a plate with the use of a sucker to lift up the same, an thereafter by gradually forming an air layer between two upper and lower plates from the one end of the plate so separate the plates from each other. CONSTITUTION:A lifter which is not shown in lowered to press a sucker 8 against one of plate members 9 stacked in a stocker, and therefore, the plate member 9 is absorbed by the sucker 8. When a piston 13 in a cylinder 12 is extended, the top section of a frame 11 moves in the direction of the arrow. However, since the inner end 6 of the frame 11 is linked to a rail 14, the arcuate lower end of the frame 11 rolls on the plate member 9. At this time the sucker 8 which still absorbs the plate member 9 climbs up a slightly inclined upward direction together with the outer end of the frame 11, and therefore, one end of the plate member 9 is turned up so that an air layer is formed between itself and the next lower plate member 9. The lower plate member 9 initially tends to bend along with the upper plate 9, but since it has a recovering force in itself, both upper and lower plate members are gradually separated from each other. |
