PURPOSE:To improve anticorrosion of inner surface of water tube by the sacrificial anodic effect of the alloy by a method wherein the alloy, containing zinc of specified composition capable of preventing evaporation of zinc upon vacuum heating perfectly, is employed for the material of the core. CONSTITUTION:The water tube is made by a triplicate tube consisting of an inner skin member of aluminum alloy, consisting of Si: <=0.4%, Fe: 0.10-0.5%, Cu: <=0.20%, Mn: 0.7-1.5%, Zn: 0.8-1.2%, Li: 0.005-0.2%, Ca: 0.008-0.1%, balance: Al, a core member of aluminum alloy of Al-Mn series, Al-Mn-Cu series or the like and an outer skin member of aluminum alloy or Al-Si series or Al-Si-Mg series. The water tube member is combined with a fin member of aluminum alloy of Al-Zn series, Al-Mn-Sn series or the like having sacrificial anodic effect and the core is formed by brazing them under the ambient pressure of less than 10<-2>Torr. According to this method, the core of radiator made of aluminum alloy having good anticorrosion property may be obtained. |
