PURPOSE:To manufacture easily dead soft steel having the desired composition by refining by decarburizing molten steel with a degassing apparatus, moving a ladle at once, and adjusting other components. CONSTITUTION:Molten steel is decarburized with a degassing apparatus to obtain dead soft steel. A ladle is moved from the degassing vessel at once to prevent the melting of metal sticking to the inside of the vessel. At the same time, the transfer of the metal to the ladle is prevented. The components are then adjusted finally with an adjusting apparatus using ferroalloy. By this method the pick-up of carbon after the decarburization is prevented, and dead soft steel having a standard composition is obtd. |
