<p>Pneumatic material conveying and blending system utilises bin contg. an open-ended vertical column spaced from but coaxially aligned with a bottom inlet for solid particulate material. The material is delivered to the inlet and upwardly through the column entrained in a stream of gaseous fluid, movement through the column being aided by supplying a stream of booster gas to its base, pref. through a foraminous surface (50) in the bottom of the bin. Material already in the bin is also drawn upwards through the column to be dispersed onto the top surface of material in the bin mixed with fresh material thus achieving blending.</p> |
