PURPOSE:To make a recording head freely detachable to a main body while accurately determining the position of an ink emitting orifice, by providing a gate- shaped member on a carriage to fix the ink container-built-in recording head to the carriage and performing the connection of signal wires. CONSTITUTION:A gate shaped member 4 is provided to the upper part of a carriage 2 and an ink emitting orifice 10 is provided to the front surface of a recording head 1 while an electrode terminal part 11 is arranged to the upper surface of the front part of said recording head 1 and an ink container is mounted in the recording head 1. The recording head 1 is moved to the direction shown by the arrow B to insert the front part thereof into the opening of the gate- shaped member 4 and the lower protruded part 13 of the recording head is engaged with the recessed part of the carriage 2. The electrode terminal part 11 is contacted with an electrode terminal part 16 under pressure. |
