PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrahigh speed motor which has a large mechanical strength, a small iron loss and small heating by empolying an amorphous electromagnetic material for a stator of a reluctance motor. CONSTITUTION:3-phase AC powers are supplied from a 3-phase AC power source 4 to 3-phase windings (a)-(c) of a stator 2 of a reluctance motor, and a current of delay phase is supplied in response to the output of a rotary position detector 5 from a delay phase exciting power source 3. An amorphous electromagnetic material is used as a material of the stator. Thus, since the diameter of the rotor can be reduced, a mechanical strength for the ultrahigh speed rotation does not become a problem, and the motor having a small iron loss and small heating due to the amorphous material can be provided. |
