PURPOSE:To prevent the information at the center of a photosensitive drum from being lost by detecting continuous adjacent condition and inserting a reverse signal to suppress the continuous adjacent condition if the continuous adjacent condition corresponding to a conditional positive image forming a prescribed size of electric latent image takes place. CONSTITUTION:When a continuous data X detecting section 41 detects that a positive image corresponding signal ''1'' in the X direction scanning of a print data input exceeds a value (m) set corresponding to the physical length of the middle part print missing, a detection signal is fed to a storage control section 40 as a continuous data. Then a control section 40 stores the central position of th data, the continuous length and number of times of scanning of appearance to a storage table section 42 at each detection of position. When a comparator section 43 detects that the number of times Y reaches the set value, the comparator section 43 supplies a detection signal to a suppression signal generating section 44. A table section 42 of the generating section 44 suppress the transmission of the positive image corresponding signal ''1'' of th next scanning line of a modulation circuit 4Ca by the designated section only from the front and rear parts of the continuous data by m/2.
