PURPOSE:To obtain the titled rubber, having improved sour gasoline, heat, ozone and cold resistance, and suitable for fuel line hoses of automobiles, etc., by copolymerizing specific plural esters with another ethylenically unsaturated monomer in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of (A) 30-70wt% cyano-substituted alkyl (meth)acrylate expressed by formula I (R1 is H or methyl; R2 is alkylene; -R2-CN is 2-12C cyanoalkyl), preferably 2-cyanoethyl acrylate, with (B) 30-70wt% alkyl acrylate expressed by formula II (R3 is 1-18C alkyl), preferably ethyl acrylate, and (C) 0-10wt% ethylenic inert monomer copolymerizable with the components (A) and (B), preferably active halogen-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer is polymerized in the presence of preferably a radical polymerization catalyst at 0-80 deg.C to give the aimed rubber.
