PURPOSE:To execute a recovery processing of an input/output device without using sense information, by outputting an error recovery processing code based on a code table, when an error is generated. CONSTITUTION:An input/output device 1 is provided with a code table 11, and a code is mentioned in accordance with the contents of an error of the input/output device 1. Said each code is an address of the recovery processing contents executed by a data processing device 2, and when an error is generated by the input/output device 1, the error is converted to a code by referring to the code table 11, and this code is sent to the data processing device 2. The data processing device 2 operates a retrieving part 25 based on this code, retrieves a processing table 26 for storing the recovery processing contents, and outputs the processing contents.
