PURPOSE:To facilitate taking in and out of cargoes and to eliminate a fear of a trunk lid touching a human body, resulting in ensurance of safety, by a method wherein, when the trunk is opened, a rear cover is positioned about parallel to an upper cover, and most of the rear cover is contained in the inner surface of the upper cover. CONSTITUTION:A containing frame 14, which is positioned parallel to an upper cover, is longitudinally extended when a trunk lid 11 is closed, and is sized to allow support of a rear cover 13 being inserted through the rear end thereof, is secured to the rear part of the inner surface of an upper cover 12. A first guide oblong hole 15 and a second guide oblong hole 16, both being parallel to the upper cover 12, are provided in both side parts 14a of the containing frame 14, a relative position between the rear ends thereof is determined in the rear upper part and the front lower part, and an expansion part 15a in the shape of a circular arc is formed in the rear upper part of the first guide oblong hole 15. A stopper 17, bent downward and additionally serving to guide, is located in juxtaposition to the rear end of a lower part 14b of the containing frame 14. |
