<p>This invention provides a product type vending system operable by a customer. The system includes a plurality of cubicles for the products; an access door for each cubicle movable between open and closed positions for respectively permitting and denying outside access to the associated cubicle; a controllable locking means for the doors for preventing and permitting the corresponding door from being opened and to be opened, respectively, as the case may be; a validator means for accepting and totalling money; a plurality of selector means individual to each locking means accessible to the customer and operatively connected between the validator means and each of the locking means for actuating the locking means when operated and thereby unlocking the corresponding door; and a plurality of variably adjustable control means individual to the selector means and unaccessible to the customer, the control means operatively connected to the selector means for permitting the operation thereof based on an adjustment of the control means corresponding to the desired amount of money to purchase the product contained in the corresponding one of the cubicles. When the predetermined amount of money is paid into the validator and a selector means is operated, the associated locking means thereof will operatively release the associated door so that the product within the selected cubicle can be removed. The system provides a simple and highly efficient device for allowing different products having different prices to be contained with the corresponding cubicles. The device is particularly suitable for vending florist products, and in this respect, both heated and cooled cubicles can be provided depending on the particular product in each cubicle.</p> |
