For protection against the effects of the weather, the inflatable boat is provided with an awning superstructure. The awning superstructure comprises a frame (20) and an awning material (21) arranged over the frame (20). The frame consists of collapsible, telescoping rods (5, 6) which are removably fastened to the boat. The awning material (21) is releasably held on the inflatable tube (1). The simple construction guarantees a good all-round view, unimpeded accessibility of the inflatable boat and easy and quick assembly and dismantling. <IMAGE>
