PURPOSE:To inhibit the contamination or corrosion of an electrical contact by ink flow out from an orifice, by mounting a recording head, wherein the orifice and the electrical contact are arranged to different surfaces, on a carriage. CONSTITUTION:The electrical contact 20 in the side of a recording head is formed on a surface different from that provided with an orifice 22 and a protruded part 28 is provided to the carriage 14 in a paper side while the carriage side electrical contact 30 contacted with the contact 20 is provided to the protruded part 28. A recording head 18 is mounted on the upper surface of the carriage 14 so as to bring the contact 20 of the recording head into contact with the contact 30 of the carriage 14. |
