PURPOSE:To obtain the optical recording medium having little deterioration of reproduction and superiority in light fastness and moisture resistance, by forming the recording layer containing specific optical stabilized cyanine coloring matter composed of the links of cyanine coloring matter cation and quencher anion on the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The optical stabilized cyanine coloring matter composed of the links of cyanine coloring matter cation and quencher anion, which are represented by the formula (Z, Z' are atom groups necessary for completing indolenine ring, benzoindorenin ring and dibenzoindorenin ring; R1, R1' are alkyl, aryl, and alkenyl; L is polymethylene combination group for forming cyanine coloring matter; Q is quencher anion) is provided. Then, the aimed optical recording layer is prepared by forming the recording layer containing this coloring matter on the substrate. Further, as the quencher anion, the quencher anion of bisphenyldithiol series is preferable. |
