PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device with a freely attachable and detachable head which is capable of positioning a liquid orifice precisely by fixing a recording head containing a liquid container with a magnet chuck on the body side and at the same time, connecting a drive signal wire for liquid discharge. CONSTITUTION:For instance, the back side 10 of a recording head containing a liquid container 13 and having a liquid orifice 4 is constituted with magnetic substance such as stainless steel, and an energy generating element for liquid discharge for each nozzle 12 and a drive signal wire for said energy generating element are formed on a flexible circuit substrate 11. Then an individual electrode terminal 5 for said wire is provided on the back side 10. In the meantime, the other edge of the circuit substrate 11 forms a common electrode terminal 6. A magnet 15 is arranged in a concave part 2a of a carriage 2 and the recording head 1 is inserted into said concave part 2a to have the magnet 15 attract and hold the back side 10 correctly. At the same time, an individual electrode terminal 16 protruded in said concave part 2a on the body of the recording device is connected with a common electrode terminal 17 and a terminal corresponding to the recording head 1, thus obtaining a device intended for. |
