PURPOSE:To attain an effective utilization of a real storage and a curtailment of an overhead for a page management by selecting plural sizes and numbers of a page for dividing a virtual storage in accordance with a character of a processing program. CONSTITUTION:A virtural storage 1 and a real storage 2 are divided into plural areas PS0-PS2, VS0-VS2 consisting of pages of different sizes, and address converting tables 3-0-3-2 for making a virtual address and a real address correspond to each other by the pages of different sizes are provided in every area. Registers 4-0-4-2 correspond to the the address converting tables 3-0-3-2, respectively, and hold head addresses AD0-AD2 of the table concerned and a length. On the other hand, a processing unit 5 has an address converting mechanism 6 containing address conversion control units 7-0-7-2 for converting an address on an area of the virtual storage 1 to an address 2 on an area of the real storage 2. |
