Along three of the sides (4,5,6) of the protection (1) is a lining with an adhesive (3). This adhesive is protected before use by an air-tight tape (7) which in extension terminates in flaps (8) which are gripped to remove the tape. The fourth side (9) of the protection, which on application is placed lowest, is open for ventilation of the wound and drainage of any secretion. Two or more such protections can be positioned in a row around the surface of a particularly large wound. |
