PURPOSE:To improve the stability at high speed and to prevent the damage of the head and the magnetic disk medium due to abrasion, etc. by combining an epoxy silane compd. with an inorganic silicon film on a magnetic disk medium, and further chemically conbining a fluorocarbon contg. a carboxyl group or a sulfonyl group to form a lubricating layer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic film 3 is coated on an aluminum substrate 1 having an alumite layer 2, and an inorganic silicon compd. film 4 is formed on the magnetic film 3. An epoxy silane compd. is then applied to the surface of the inorganic silicon compd. film 4 to form an epoxy silane compd. film 5 by the dehydration-condensation reaction of the inorganic silicon compd. with the epoxy silane compd. Then a lubricant film 6 consisting of a fluorocarbon lubricant contg. a carboxyl group or a fluorocarbon lubricant contg. a sulfonyl group is applied to the epoxy silane compd. film 5, and the lubricant film 6 and the epoxy silane compd. film 5 are chemically combined by the ring-opening reaction of the epoxy silane compd. with the lubricant. |
